We are watching the elections across the border in Iran. It's hard to tell who has actually won and we may never know. Iraq had setup numerous polling locations in southern Iraq for Iranian ex-pats to vote. I don't know if it is purely coincidental, but it has been very quiet in Iraq for the last few days.
(I don't want to imply that Iran could be involved in some of the unrest in Iraq, that's not possible is it?)
It's not much different than New York state politics.

I was going to say good quiet or uneasy quiet, but you probably shouldn't answer that. Let's pray for the best and that all of you are safe and stay safe.

The difference between Iraq and New York politics is the Iraqis have rockets and mortars.....Otherwise I believe the amount of violence is probably close to the same.
In this country quiet is always good....

Hi Mark,
Hope all is going well. Love your comparison between Iraq and New York politics. :0
Hope that Iranian election problems don't get to close to you. Hope the American Soldiers wouldn't shoot us when we start a big protest.
Gonna send you a gisd email.

Rather interesting that the pictures we are seeing of the protesters, the signs seem to all be in English.
